I am offering the chance for someone to sing on an original Sarah LeMieux instrumental 12-bar blues recording. Sarah is an accomplished American singer-songwriter and blues musician.
And don't worry, this is an inclusive trade - no experience in singing is required, so practically anyone may apply.
Yep, the plan is this...
- Sarah will produce a really neat original instrumental 12-bar guitar blues track, recorded and tracked for someone to sing over with reference markers (please don't ask me what that means exactly - ask Sarah!)
- the trade recipient, wherever they may be, will then sing and record a vocal, which could be written by either the recipient or Sarah herself (as preferred/required)
- Sarah will then mix it in and master it "all shiny and nice", and the recipient will ultimately receive a CD of the final recording through the mail
- the trade recipient will get 50% ownership of the track (Sarah will have the other 50%) in the event that it is licensed or broadcast for money (Sarah will register the composition with ASCAP under both names)
- and there's more... the recipient will also get an autographed copy of Sarah's CD Superbleu
Sarah has the technical details figured out - any questions, just ask her, either via me or directly. I think the recordings can be be emailed to and fro easily (to be confirmed).
There may also be some scope for flexibility in this deal, subject to Sarah's agreement.
So, another radical musical experience trade made possible by the Internet!
