Now Up For A Trade: Item T23_3

This is a letter Peter received from rocker Pete Townshend of The Who in 1982:

Accompanying the letter was this photocopy of the referred to letter's envelope:

Must be a story behind this, right? Well...

Peter was reading some magazine, which had an article which included a description of roughly where Pete Townshend's office was located... so Peter, wanting to contact Mr. Townshend, addressed his letter as best he could from the clues he had.

From the notes on the envelope, you would think Peter's letter was taken on quite a journey around London before finally being delived, much to Pete Townshend's amusement, wouldn't you imagine?
